The Egmont Trust & TICAH in Kenya
The Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health (TICAH) is based in the slums of Nairobi. HIV prevalence is around 12% in these informal settlements, far higher than the national average.
TICAH provides residents with nutritional training and works with an innovative group support system, helping ensure those with HIV adhere to their anti-retroviral treatment - keeping them healthy and reducing the likelihood of passing on the infection.
