Colin Williams OBE
Chief Executive Officer
Colin spent 22 years with ActionAid, setting up country programmes in Somalia, Uganda (where he was part of the successful early response to HIV & AIDS) and Malawi, then becoming Africa Region Director. He was awarded an OBE for services to fighting poverty in Africa in 2002. Colin helped set up Egmont in 2005. He is based in Zambia where he is supported by a number of individuals with extensive networks across the region. BA, Economics, Sheffield University; MA, Carleton University, Ottawa.
Nomuhle joined Egmont in 2016 to manage and oversee Egmont’s relationships with our expanding portfolio of partners. Hailing from Zimbabwe, where she will be based, Nomuhle brings extensive professional and local experience to the post. Previously, Nomuhle was Country Director for Zimbabwe at Restless Development, and Programme Manager at the BOOST Fellowship. Fundraising & Communications Manager
Jake joined Egmont in 2014, bringing experience in design and communications. Since then, Jake has undertaken an MSc in International Development, submitting a thesis on bottom-up development and the dangers of donor-led funding on the development of civil society organisations in the developing world using data provided by Egmont's partners. BA (Joint Hons), University of Sussex; MA (Distinction), University of Bristol.
Louise joined Egmont in August 2017. Previously, Louise worked for Bridgend Council, Tros Gynnal and University of South Wales and brings over 17 years' financial management experience in the charitable and public sector to the Egmont team.
Jane joined the Trust in 2015 to assist the Finance Manager with financial administration and programme contract management. Having previously worked for Cardiff Council, RK Aggarwal Ltd & General Electric, Jane brings over 20 years of experience in finance and administration roles to her new position at Egmont.
Grants & Operations Administrator
Jenny joined Egmont in 2018 to assist with the grants and operations administration, and database management. Jenny has previously worked as an Events and Project Administrator for the youth charity Fixers, and brings excellent administration and event management experience to the role. BSc(Hons), Plymouth University.
Mubanga joined Egmont in 2018 to assist with partner administration and project oversight. Based in Zambia, Mubanga works closely with the Programme Manager to monitor and review project progress. BEng Environmental Engineering, Copperbelt University.
